Craig Mundie, Chief Research and Strategy Officer of Microsoft said the new iPhone features superior voice recognition feature that is called Siri is not a new technology. Tellme, Siri such software already exists on Windows Phone for more than last year.
In an interview, Mundie said, the ability of Siri is not the specific skills possessed Apple's smartphone. Mundie said the company founded by Steve Jobs was touting Siri great ability to cover up that the iPhone 4S did not have many new features in it.
"Tellme feature already exists in Windows 7-based phones for more than last year," Mundie said, as quoted by Apple Insider, 28 November 2011. "My point is, people seem crazy when Apple announced Siri," he said.
Still, Mundie said, the greatness of people in Apple's marketing campaign for a product is something that needs to be studied by his side even though he felt that the iPhone maker was forced to focus on voice technologies such as the iPhone 4S lack of new features.
"Logically, many people are disappointed with Apple's latest mobile phone because it is not really new stuff. So, the only thing they have gembar-heralded feature is that, "said Mundie. "Maybe in the future, we need to pick one feature and menggembar-gemborkannya even harder," he said.
Mundie also said the transition from Windows Mobile to Windows Phone platform is still difficult. The software giant from Washington, the United States it must overcome the 'error' that occurs when moving the operating systems they are intended for enterprise users to the new operating system aimed at the consumer segment.
"We expect Windows Phone can be a major player in the mobile market," said Mundie. "The cooperation with Nokia is a very important step for the success of that platform," he said.
